Men on CCTV sought in murder case

Three men caught on CCTV footage

Police have issued CCTV footage of people they want to speak to following the death of a man near a pub in the south Wales valleys in the summer.

David Roy Barnes, 21, from Ebbw Vale, was pronounced dead near the New Griffin pub in Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent, in August.

A 23-year-old man has appeared in court charged with Mr Barnes' murder.

Police want to speak to a number of people caught on CCTV cameras, including a victim of an assault.

The incident which left Mr Barnes dead happened at approximately 0100 BST on Friday 22 August.

In the top picture, the man was walking through Brynmawr town centre on 22 August at about 0045 BST wearing dark coloured, short sleeve top and three-quarter length dark coloured trousers.

The second man in the bottom left photograph was assaulted outside the Blackwood Miners Institute at approximately 2330 BST on 7 August.

The man was described as in his late 20s or earlier 30s, of medium build, and with dark spiked hair.
