Man charged with stabbing murder

A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody, charged with murdering a 26-year-old man in a village in Bridgend county a week ago.

Craig Ivey of Gilfach Goch, Rhondda Cynon Taf, died after being stabbed at Nantyffyllon near Maesteg last Monday.

A man appeared before magistrates in Bridgend last Friday, South Wales Police confirmed.

He was remanded in custody to reappear at Cardiff Crown Court on 18 August.
