Woman, 18, killed in road crash

An 18-year-old woman has been killed after a road crash on the outskirts of Cardiff early on Easter Sunday.

A Renault Clio car left the road at St Fagans sometime during a two-hour period after 0410 GMT.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and South Wales Police have appealed for witnesses.

A spokesman said they wanted to hear from anyone who may have seen the R-registered red car before the crash in Cardiff Road.

Anyone with information should contact the eastern roads policing unit at Gwaelod-y-Garth police station on 01656 655555 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
