Fire crews in Powys have been using a boat to rescue people who have become cut off by flood water in one of the worst hit areas of Wales.
Five people were ferried to safety from a house at Pool Quay near Welshpool after they were cut off by floods.
In a separate incident the boat was needed to reach two adults and a boy who were stranded in a car on the A483.
Elsewhere, the fire service said it was dealing with flooding incidents in the Neath Port Talbot area.
Early on Sunday fire crews dealt with flooding at two Neath properties, and one in Baglan.
They went on to deal with flooding incidents in Glynneath and Briton Ferry, but by lunchtime the fire service said calls were beginning to die down.
'Reduced service'
Meanwhile, travel disruption for rail passengers also continued.
Despite re-opening many routes on Sunday, First Great Western said it was still operating a "reduced and disrupted service", with journey times extended and some services cancelled.
Routes particularly hit were from London to Wales, and Bristol and the West of England.
Central Trains said it was not running a service between Birmingham New Street and Cardiff.
On the first weekend of the school holidays many people across the country have experienced some form of disruption caused by the weather.
Some events were called off, including the Saturday night music concert of the Wakestock festival on the Lleyn Peninsula.
But many festival-goers braved the elements to attend the events - including the Sesiwn Fawr in Dolgellau - still going ahead.
Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan was the first area of the country to be hit badly by torrential rain on Friday.
Pupils were evacuated from a comprehensive school and two primaries, and three people were rescued from the first floor of a building.
The disruption spread overnight when 22 pupils and eight members of staff from Blackwood Comprehensive School in Caerphilly county became stranded miles from home on a school trip.
They spent the night in a leisure centre at Ludlow in south Shropshire, before travelling home on Saturday morning.
Near Presteigne in Powys, 30 tonnes of debris and earth blocked the only road out of the hamlet of Barland.
Flood warnings
On Saturday night roads in the Welshpool area were badly affected, and weather experts refused to give the country the all-clear for Sunday.
The met office website has warned of further severe weather, with some heavy bursts of showery rain which would become more scattered later on.
There are five flood warnings and four flood watches still in place, according to the Environment Agency's website.
The flood warnings are at places along the river Wye and the Lower Dee Valley from Llangollen to Chester.
The flood watches again concern the river Wye, and also the river Lugg and the Lower Dee catchment.
