Shopping centre store hit by fire

Firefighters at Cwmbran Shopping Eight fire crews have been tackling a "serious" blaze at Cwmbran Shopping Centre, in Torfaen.

South Wales Fire Service said they were called to the shopping centre at about 1720 GMT.

A spokeswoman said the fire had broken out in the Bodycare store and aerosols in the shop were exploding intermittently during the blaze.

The shopping centre, which has 170 shops, was evacuated but there were no reports of any injuries.

A fire service spokeswoman said firefighters had used breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.

"Several premises have been affected, either by smoke or by fire," she added.
