A diver who was found unconscious in the sea is recovering after he was airlifted to hospital.
The diver was discovered by a pleasure boat in the water near Bardsey Island, off the Llyn peninsula, on Saturday afternoon.
The boat called Holyhead Coastguard, who in turn sent a rescue team from Aberdaron, along with a helicopter from RAF Valley, Anglesey.
The diver was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor.
Isabel Goodall, watch manager at the Holyhead Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre, said the diver had regained consciousness before being taken to hospital.
The rescue was carried out at the same time as a separate search was going on further south along the Welsh coast off Pembrokeshire.
Two divers who had been reported missing near Grassholm Island on Saturday afternoon were found some seven hours later, at about 2215 BST.
