The man, who is 58, was flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by an RAF rescue helicopter. from Valley on Anglesey early on Saturday.
He is understood to have slid 100 feet down a scree slope near Clogwyn Station, which is around half way up the mountain.
It is believed the man may have been on the mountain overnight
He is not believed to have been seriously injured in the accident which was reported to emergency services by a companion.
The rescue operation was co-ordinated by North Wales Police.
