A householder who says her home has been hit by lorries 15 times in 18 years blames satellite navigation for making the problem worse.
Amanda Sandland, from Bodfari, Denbighshire, wants signs put up to stop drivers entering the B5429, which runs past her house.
In the latest incident, she says a lorry driver caused £1,000 worth of damage to her roof.
Denbighshire council said signs advised that the road was unsuitable for HGVs.
Mrs Sandland said lorry drivers had used the B5429 as a shortcut for many years.
She wants her local council to erect extra signs on the A541, advising drivers to ignore sat-nav directions because the road is unsuitable.
She said: "There's already a sign that was put up when I raised the problem with the community council on an earlier occasion.
"But by the time the drivers see it, it's too late for them to turn around. We've had this problem for 18 years and we just need some action."
She said the latest incident happened after a lorry got stuck and the driver tried to reverse.
She added: "Fortunately my neighbour spotted it and took the details while I was out at work and the lorry's owners have agreed to pay for the damage.
"But on two occasions last year we had to claim on our house insurance because the lorries just drove off."
The council said: "Signs have been installed along this stretch of road informing motorists that the road is unsuitable for long vehicles.
"We have also been in touch with a number of companies that use long vehicles, following incidents at the location and we have appealed to them not to use narrow lanes for safety reasons.
"We would reiterate that appeal. "
