A teacher at a Shropshire college has admitted having more than 130 indecent images of children on his computer.

Geoffrey Graham, 53, has been banned from working with children and he is prohibited from using the internet for the next five years.

The case against Graham, from Llansanffraid, Powys, came to light when he was cautioned for writing indecent comments on the internet.

His computer was seized in a police raid on his home, near Welshpool.

A total of 134 indecent images of children, aged between 10 and 15, were found by police, most of them at the least serious level one but five of them at the more serious level three.

Pictures found on his computer included some Graham, a physical education teacher, had taken of girls playing netball.

Graham admitted five offences of making indecent images of children and a sixth count of possessing all 134 images.

He was placed on a 18-month supervised community order, and he will also carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.

A judge at Mold Crown Court ordered him to register as a sex offender for the next five years.
