Driver dies after car overturns

Location map A 25-year-old motorist who died when her car hit a tree and overturned in Llanfair Caereinion, Powys has been named by police.

She was Bethan Elen Williams, who lived in Llanfair Caereinion.

The collision happened shortly before 0230 BST on Saturday in Mount Road in the town.

Dyfed-Powys Police have launched an investigation into the cause and are appealing for witnesses.

Mid and West Wales Fire Service said on Saturday that crews from Llanfair and Newtown cut a female free from the car.

Witnesses are asked to contact Pc Lynn Davies at Welshpool police on 0845 330 2000.
