A mountain rescue team found two walkers suffering from the effects of cold in the Brecon Beacons.
The brothers, 47 and 55, from Essex, called police from the Pen-y-Fan area on Tuesday evening saying they were experiencing signs of hypothermia.
The police helicopter was forced back because of strong winds and low cloud.
Brecon Mountain Rescue Team used parachute flares to find them sheltering on Corn Du. They were treated at the scene.
Rescuers said both men were suffering from the effects of the cold weather, which saw the first snow of the winter in the area.
Members of Central and Western Beacons mountain rescue teams and specialist mountain rescue search dogs also supported the operation.
