Appeal over skateboard collision

Police have appealed for information about a collision in a park which left a skateboarder in a critical condition.

The 35-year-old man was riding his skateboard in Singleton Park on Saturday at 2020 BST while the Escape Into the Park festival was being held.

He collided with another man and thrown from his skateboard.

He was taken to Morriston Hospital with head injuries. An 18-year-old man who was arrested has been bailed while further inquiries are carried out.

The skateboarder's condition is described as stable.

South Wales Police is appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time who saw the incident to contact them at Swansea Central Police Station on 01792 456999 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
