Arrest after guns and ammo stolen

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the theft of three shotguns and boxes of ammunition.

South Wales Police said the items were stolen from a house in Seven Sisters, near Neath, some time between 0630 and 1400 GMT on Tuesday.

Officers said the arrested man, who is from the Seven Sisters area, is currently in custody at Neath police station.

Police have also appealed for any information on the burglary.

Acting Det Insp Jason Davies of Neath Port Talbot CID added: "The arrest was made following a pre-planned operation conducted in the local area which has resulted in all three firearms being recovered. Our investigations are continuing."
