Two arrested after armed incident

Armed officers have arrested a man and and a woman after surrounding a house in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

Neighbours in Lewis Street were told to stay indoors during the incident which happened at about 0115 on Saturday.

A spokesman for South Wales Police confirmed specialist resources were deployed and a man, aged 29, and a woman, 21, were arrested.

A neighbour said she thought she saw seven officers stationed around the house.
