Two discharged after fatal crash

Emergency crews as the scene (Photo courtesy South Wales Argus) A man and a teenage boy have been discharged from hospital following a crash on a mountain road near Tredegar in which a 15-year-old girl died.

Gwent Police are continuing to appeal for information about the incident which saw the car leave the road.

All three people in the red Fiat Punto were from the Bargoed area. They had been travelling towards Tredegar.

The man was taken to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil and the boy to Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny.

The crash happened to the rear of the Halfway pub near Abertysswg, in Caerphilly county borough, at around 0400 BST on Sunday.

The girl received fatal injuries. The 20-year-old man and the 15-year-old boy were initially described as seriously injured.
