Four men, including two brothers out fishing, have died in separate incidents off the Welsh coast.
The bodies of Terry Dixon, 56, of Saron, Carmarthenshire, and Tony Dixon, 48, of Knapthorpe, Notts, who were angling from rocks at Mwnt in Ceredigion, were found in the sea.
The weather was poor, with wind about a force five, and waves reaching 12ft.
A body was also found at Fishguard and Holyhead Sailing Club commodore Mark Campbell died off Anglesey.
The tragedies follow a recent spate of sea deaths, among them a fishermen whose trawler sank in Carmarthen Bay.
The bodies of the brothers who died at Mwnt, a few miles north of Cardigan, were recovered from the sea following a combined search by rescue services.
RAF helicopter
A member of the public who spotted the bodies ran to a nearby coastguard officer's house to raise the alarm at about 1845 BST on Wednesday.
The men are believed to have been swept away by tidal currents, and coastguards said neither was wearing lifejackets when the bodies were found.
Police described it as "a tragic accident".
An inquest has been opened and adjourned on the Dixon brothers by the Ceredigion coroner.
Meanwhile, a yachtsman died after he was hit by the sail boom on a 35ft (10m) boat during a race two miles off Holyhead on Anglesey.
North Wales Police said Mark Campbell, 48, of Trearddur Bay, was knocked unconscious into the sea.
Well-known businessman
Another crew member also fell overboard, and others plunged into the water in a rescue attempt.
Mr Campbell, a well-known local businessman whose family own Joseph Keegan, a Holyhead-based wines and spirits company, was winched aboard a rescue helicopter from RAF Valley and flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor, and two other crew members were picked up by lifeboat.
An RNLI spokesman said weather conditions were rough at the time, with strong winds.
"However, these were all experienced sailors and initial reports suggest it has been a tragic, freak accident," he said.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch is looking into the tragedy.
In a third incident, the body of a 62-year-old man was recovered from rocks off the Parrog breakwater at Fishguard following a search of the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
Police said they were not treating his death as suspicious and appealed for anyone who saw him walking on the breakwater at about 2000 BST on Wednesday to contact them.
His death is the latest in a spate of accidents. On Monday, the body of 15-year-old Rueben Morgan was recovered from Pontsticill reservoir, near Merthyr Tydfil.
Reuben, from Cefn Coed, was with a group of teenagers swimming in the reservoir when he got into difficulty on Saturday. Also that weekend a fisherman went missing after a trawler sank off Pendine beach in Carmarthen Bay.
A fellow crew member managed to swim four miles to safety after spending 11 hours in the water.
Nine days ago a father-of-three from Shropshire died after he was thrown into the sea at Borth near Aberystwyth when his inflatable dinghy overturned.
