Welcome to wales@westminster

David Cornock graphic Hello - and welcome to the Wales@Westminster weblog - the place to come for a Welsh take on the world of politics in Westminster, Cardiff Bay and beyond.

Click on the dates on the right to read my latest musings.

As BBC Wales parliamentary correspondent, I'm based in Westminster, from where I file reports for Wales Today, Radio Wales and BBC News online.

I grew up near Penarth in South Wales. Before joining the BBC 11 years ago, I worked for the Western Mail in Cardiff, Swansea and Westminster, spending six years as its political editor.

I've also worked as a political reporter for BBC World TV and BBC World Service Radio, which explains the blogging lull in the first half of 2006.

I launched this weblog in 2003. It's designed to complement our radio and television coverage of politics.

I'm always grateful for your feedback, however unflattering. Do feel free to e-mail me with stories, ideas, tip-offs.......and jokes.
