London police find sex offender

A registered sex offender who went missing from Perth on Boxing Day has been found by police in the Camden area of London.

The 34-year-old was supposed to be letting police know where he was but failed to report to them.

He is now in custody in connection with other matters and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

A police spokesman thanked the public for their "valuable assistance" in finding him.
