Electrocution firm lodges appeal
An engineering firm which was fined £300,000 after an employee was electrocuted in Dundee has lodged an appeal against the size of the penalty.
Michael Adamson, 26, from Bo'ness, died after touching a live wire during the building of a fitness centre in 2005.
Mitie Engineering Services (Edinburgh) Ltd were found guilty of breaking health and safety laws.
The appeal is at an early stage and further legal processes are required to establish whether it should proceed.
