A 10-day festival organised by one of Scotland's most famous musical names is taking place in Tayside.
Perthshire Amber, which was created and run by Dougie MacLean and his family, features music, walks and workshops.
Venues include Dunkeld Cathedral, Blair Castle, the Scottish Crannog Centre and Castle Menzies.
Mr MacLean is known for composing The Gael, which was used in the film the Last of the Mohicans, and also writing Scottish favourite Caledonia.
It was recently announced that Caledonia will be covered by singer Sandi Thom as the anthem for the year-long Homecoming celebrations in 2009.
As well as Mr MacLean, the festival will also feature American Celtic band Solas and Benny Gallagher - one half of Gallagher and Lyle.
Workshops will be given on subjects such as guitar, the craft of performance, the songs of Burns and even whistle arrangements.
Tickets have been bought in places as far afield as Australia and the United States.
Perthshire Amber runs from 24 October until 2 November.
