Mystery owner of clothes sought

The person who left clothes, a CD player and a newspaper on a bench next to the River Tay in Dundee has been urged to get in touch with police.

The jeans, waterproof trousers and overalls were discovered on a bench on Riverside Drive on Saturday morning.

Officers have made missing persons checks, but have not been able to indentify the mystery owner.

They have said they want to make sure the person the items belong to is safe and well.

Anyone with information about the clothes found on the seat next to the pumping station across from Tesco has been asked to contact the Tayside force.
