A man has been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a child's pram was set on fire in a block of flats.
Central Scotland Police said the pram, which was moved to block an escape route at the entrance to the building, was empty at the time.
The blaze happened on Thursday 28 August at about 2200 BST, at Little Denny Road.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact police.
Witnesses said the pram was sitting on a ground floor landing in the three-storey block from about 1500 BST.
A Central Scotland Police spokesman said: "We are obviously anxious to trace the person responsible for this incident and are following a number of lines of inquiry.
"This could clearly have been a much more serious incident were it not for the prompt actions of members of the public who initially attempted to extinguish the fire, before the attendance of Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service personnel."
