Exhibition honours canal heritage

Art work from the Waypoint exhibition

An exhibition featuring works inspired by the Forth and Clyde and Union canals has opened at the Falkirk Wheel.

The creations, all by local artists, detail the history and relevance of the canals.

Among the artists contributing to the project are lecturers and graduates from Forth Valley College.

The Way Point exhibition, sponsored by British Waterways, features photographs, paintings, sculptures and drawings.

It is being hosted in the Falkirk Wheel visitor centre.
