Car plea over missing paedophile

Joseph Millbank

Police hunting for a missing sex offender have appealed for information about the car he may be using.

Joseph Millbank, 47, who was released from prison on licence at the beginning of May, was last seen in the Perth area on Friday 27 June.

Tayside Police said he may be a danger to children.

Police said Millbank was believed to be using a blue Vauxhall Omega Estate with the registration number W834 MET. They are keen to trace the vehicle.

Contact police

Millbank was convicted in January 2002 at the High Court in Aberdeen of three charges of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices.

He was sentenced to 10 years, with a 10-year extended period.

A warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to comply with the conditions of his licence after he was released from prison.

Millbank is 6ft 2in tall and of average build.

He has green/blue eyes and short dark hair and is bald on top.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who sees him or who knows of his whereabouts should contact the police immediately."
