T in the Park organisers have appealed to people attending next weekend's event to observe five basic travel tips before setting off for the festival.
The appeal follows traffic chaos at last year's event when heavy rain caused car parks to become waterlogged. Organisers want music fans to avoid using navigation tools and to try and use public transport instead of private cars.
About 80,000 revellers are expected to attend the event at Balado Park.
Organisers are also asking fans not to travel to the festival before 1000 BST and to avoid using the Kincardine Bridge 1530 BST and 1800 BST.
'Trouble-free journey'
Event manager Colin Rodger from Big Day Out said: "We have invested a considerable amount of time and money in improving the traffic set up at the festival this year.
"We're now asking music fans to play their part.
"By following the five simple steps we have outlined, we can all work together to ensure that everyone has as trouble-free a journey as possible when travelling to and from the festival site."
Transport Scotland will also operate a website detailing realtime travel information.
Measures to prevent a replay of problems encountered last year include increasing the size of the site's car parks and the introduction of mobile police cameras to monitor traffic across the region.
This year's T in the Park runs from 11 to 13 July and is headlined by the Verve, Rage Against the Machine and REM.
