Agoraphobic man's body discovered

Duncan Gibb Police have discovered the body of an agoraphobic man who went missing after leaving his Scottish home for the first time in 30 years.

A huge search was launched after Duncan Gibb failed to return to his home in Montrose, Angus, earlier this month.

His family said it was the first time the 49-year-old had set foot outside his own doorstep since the age of 18.

Tayside Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.

The spokesman added: "Following an extensive search in the area and acting on information from members of the public, the body of Duncan Gibb was found in Montrose."
