Body found washed ashore in city

A man's body has been discovered washed up along the shoreline in Dundee, police have said.

Tayside Police said the body, which has yet to be identified, was found at the city's Stannergate Road, opposite Margaret Crescent.

Officers said the discovery was made at about 1100 GMT. They are not treating the man's death as suspicious.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on Thursday to establish the man's identity.
