Police hunt common close rapist

A police investigation has been launched into the rape of a 17-year-old woman in the common close of a street in Perth.

Witnesses who may know something about the incident, which happened off South Street at about 2300 GMT on Saturday, are being urged to come forward.

Tayside Police said they were keen to speak to a man seen walking with the victim into the close.

He is described as stocky with dark hair and aged about 24.

The man was wearing a white and dark blue striped jumper and light denim blue jeans and was about 5ft 11ins tall.
