Police trace boy over school fire

A seven-year-old boy has been accused of setting fire to a primary school in a Stirlingshire village.

The cloakroom at Killearn Primary was damaged by smoke and flames at about 1625 BST last Wednesday.

A police spokesman said the boy would not be reported to the Children's Reporter because he was below the age of criminal responsibility.

However, a report on the circumstances of the fire has been forwarded to the Reporter.

It was the second suspicious fire at the school in August, after a bench in an outdoor classroom caught alight.
