The city of Dundee has been gearing up for the launch of two major events which aim to boost the profile of the computer industry.
One of the gaming industry's top recruitment events, Game in Scotland, will arrive next month to publicise the latest news in the growing sector.
Meanwhile, Dare to be Digital, the UK games design competition for students, called for Scots and Irish entries.
Dundee is seen by many IT gaming companies as a prime recruiting ground.
The Game in Scotland event on 29 March aims to bring together several key players and companies involved in games development.
Joyce Matthew, of Scottish Enterprise Tayside, said a similar event in Dundee last year proved very popular.
Fresh talent
"There's a real buzz about the industry with Scottish companies, many of them here in Dundee, enjoying huge success," she said.
"But they need fresh talent to help them grow even more, which is where we come in."
Dare to be Digital, now in its eight year and hosted by Abertay University, sees a series of teams selected to develop a prototype video game.
Project manager Elaine Russell said: "This year we received many inquiries even before the application form was ready.
"This early sign of enthusiasm shows the increasing popularity of the competition."
Another Dundee event, the Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education, is to be staged in Dundee in June, attended by a number of international experts.
