Kart arena gets the green light
A proposed indoor karting arena for Clackmannanshire has been approved by councillors, initially for one year.
Council officials earlier said the centre in Alloa should be refused amid concerns about noise.
However, councillors were determined to reach a compromise over the plans, which were put forward by a developer in the area.
The council's planning committee said the authority should back local projects which boost the economy.
The karting arena will be based in a converted warehouse, currently used for storage, on Alloa's Whins Road.
