Man dies after blaze in village
A 36-year-old man has died following a fire at a house in central Scotland.
The blaze broke out in the village of Fankerton, west of Denny, at about 0135 BST on Sunday.
Two fire units from Falkirk and one from Denny attended the fire in the mid-terraced property, which caused smoke damage to two neighbouring homes.
Police and Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service are to investigate the cause of the blaze and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
The victim, who died after being taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary, has not yet been named by the police.
