A hillwalker reported missing in the south of Scotland has been traced and taken to hospital in Ayr.
David Masterton, 65, who runs the Glendyne Hotel in Sanquhar, had last been seen at 1100 GMT on Tuesday.
It is thought he went hillwalking in Upper Nithsdale but a search and rescue operation was launched overnight after he failed to return home.
Members of the public found Mr Masterton who was taken to hospital with suspected hypothermia.
The Moffat Mountain Rescue Team spent the night scouring the hillside around the Wanlockhead area in the search for the missing man.
The Galloway Mountain Rescue Team took over the daylight search operation.
Police confirmed at about 1500 GMT that he had been found in the Sanquhar area by members of the public and had been transferred to hospital for treatment.
