Man in court following drugs raid

A man has been remanded in custody after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £300,000 were found at a property in the Borders.

Trung Huy, 43, from West Linton, appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court following a drugs raid on Sunday night.

He made no plea or declaration to a charge of producing and intending to supply cannabis.

Officers found about 1,000 plants at the property in Gifford Place.
