Thieves have made off with dozens of iPods in a pre-Christmas raid on a store in south west Scotland.

The incident took place at the Currys superstore on the outskirts of Dumfries between 0900 and 2100 GMT on Friday.

A spokesman for Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said a total of 46 iPods had been taken with an estimated value of about £7,000.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in and around the store has been asked to contact police.
