Woman withdrew dead man's funds
A woman who took more than £4,000 from the bank account of a man who was already dead has been ordered to carry out 180 hours community service.
Janet Kirkpatrick, 52, of Lochside Road, Dumfries, admitted the fraud over an 18-month period to May last year.
She pretended to bank staff she was withdrawing funds for Martin McGuinn - knowing that he had died in 2005.
Dumfries Sheriff Court heard she forged his signature on withdrawal slips and doctored forms for pension payments.
