Andrew Franey Police have identified a man whose body was found on waste land behind a supermarket.

Andrew Franey, 26, of Causeway Street, Moffat, was found dead near the town's Co-op site on Saturday.

A police spokesman confirmed that they were investigating the incident and appealed for anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.

He said police were treating the death as "unexplained" but did not believe there were suspicious circumstances.
