An exhibition of photographs by former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman is set to have its UK premiere - in the Borders.
Eastgate Theatre in Peebles is the next stop for a display which has so far gone on show in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Rotterdam.
Wyman will also pay a personal visit to the theatre next month and talk to local schoolchildren.
The pictures have been selected from the 20,000 taken by the bassist over more than four decades.
Long-time friend Richard Havers, who played a key role in bringing the exhibition to Peebles, explained that Wyman had been a keen photographer for many years.
"He has been taking pictures since 1965 and has amassed more than 20,000," he said.
"These are not happy snaps, he loves his photography."
Many of the images date from the earlier days of the Rolling Stones, featuring the band and other famous names like Eric Clapton and Elton John.
However, Mr Havers said the collection also encompassed "wonderful" landscape photographs, including one taken in France while the band were recording the Exile on Main Street album.
"It was a black period in terms of trying to work in the band, but this picture is beautiful - it just counteracts the mayhem associated with the Stones at that point," Mr Havers said.
"He's the very opposite of what you would assume a rock star would be"
The exhibition also includes images of artist Marc Chagall, who Wyman befriended while living in France.
Mr Havers has known the musician for more than 20 years and has worked with him on books and the Blues Odyssey film.
He asked Wyman to bring his work to Peebles after meeting Eastgate Theatre chairman David Coltmans through a mutual friend.
The exhibition goes on public display on Monday, with other events taking place later in the month.
Local schoolchildren
There will be a screening of Blues Odyssey, a film which tells the story of the blues - and of Wyman's own relationship with the music.
That is something the bassist will share with a group of local schoolchildren on 17 October.
There will then be a chance for those beyond school-leaving age to have an audience with Wyman the following day.
Mr Havers, who has lived in Berwickshire for the last decade, said Wyman took little persuading to come to Peebles.
"He didn't hesitate when I asked him - he's that sort of guy," he said.
The Rolling Stones do have a link to the area, having stayed at the Peebles Hydro Hotel during the 1960s.
Wyman has also visited his friend many times, indulging in his passion for metal detecting in the area.
Mr Havers added: "He loves the countryside and being outside - he's the very opposite of what you would assume a rock star would be."
