Body discovered in burned out car

A body has been recovered from a burned out vehicle which was found parked on a remote farm track in the Borders.

The emergency services were alerted to the incident when a shepherd spotted the Toyota car on fire close to Legerwood Farm at Earlston.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said an investigation has been continuing into the incident on Wednesday afternoon.

It is understood there are no suspicious circumstances.
