Biker killed in lorry crash named

A man killed when his motorcycle burst into flames in a collision with a lorry on an Aberdeenshire road has been named.

Colin Duncan, 41, of Strichen, died after the accident shortly after 0900 GMT on the B977 between Kintore and Dunecht on Wednesday morning.

The lorry driver was said to be shocked but uninjured.

The victim was the 27th person to die on the region's roads this year. Grampian Police appealed for witnesses.
