Man 'critical' following stabbing

Peterhead stabbing scene

A man has been left critically injured after being stabbed in Peterhead, police said.

The alarm was raised by a member of the public at about midnight on Monday after the incident in Crossfolds Crescent.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said the 46-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Grampian Police, appealing for information, said the man's condition was critical but stable.
