Mrs and Mrs Wolf Fish have babies

Wolf fish babies at Macduff

More than 150 baby wolf fish have been born at Macduff Marine Aquarium.

The parents - Mr and Mrs Wolf Fish - laid pink eggs at the beginning of the year and they have safely hatched in the aquarium's nursery.

The aquarium's Chris Gamble said: "To hatch wolf fish babies is a first here - and we're pretty sure no other Scottish aquarium has managed it."

The baby wolf fish will be on display from Monday. Some will be kept, while the rest will be sent elsewhere.
