Teacher in court on drugs charge

An Aberdeen primary school teacher has appeared in court charged with being involved in the supply of methadone.

Malcolm Stopani, 57, of Scotstown School in the Bridge of Don area, denied the charge when he appeared at the city's sheriff court.

It is alleged he was involved in the supply of methadone on the city's Golf Road.

Mr Stopani is due to return to Aberdeen Sheriff Court to stand trial later this month.
