Man bailed over Hogmanay firework

A man charged with culpably and recklessly setting off a firework at Aberdeen's Hogmanay street party has been released on bail.

Martin Watson, 27, from Arbroath, was detained after an incident at the Castlegate in the early hours of 1 January. Several people were injured.

He appeared on petition at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Saturday.

Mr Watson made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination.
