Staffordshire terrier bites child

A three-year-old child has been bitten by a dog in the Northfield area of Aberdeen, according to Grampian police.

The incident occurred around 1200 GMT on Hogmanay, in Byron Square in the city.

As a result of the incident involving what is thought to have been a beige and brown Staffordshire terrier, the child sustained a slight injury.

Grampian Police are keen to trace anyone in the vicinity who witnessed the incident.
