Sea body confirmed as missing man

James Lumsden

A body found off the Moray coast was that of a missing Elgin man, police have confirmed.

James Lumsden, 45, was reported missing from his home in early September and a major search was launched.

The remains of a man were recovered by the crew of an RAF Lossiemouth helicopter about 13 miles off the coast on 20 September.

DNA checks were to be carried out, and Grampian Police confirmed the body was that of Mr Lumsden.
