Female Scapa Flow death probed

A female diver has died at Scapa Flow in Orkney.

The woman was taken on board a boat and then to Houton Pier, Orphir, on Monday morning but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northern Constabulary said the woman would not be named until relatives were informed, and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The Health and Safety Executive has been informed and inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
