Body identified as missing father

A body found in Aberdeen on Friday is that of missing man Stuart Campbell, Grampian Police have confirmed.

The 32-year-old, from Portgordon, went missing almost two weeks earlier after visiting his baby daughter at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.

His body was found on the city's Great Northern Road at about 1930 BST on Friday.

Almost 2,000 posters appealing for information on Mr Campbell's location had been distributed around the city.

Mr Campbell's employer paid tribute to him as a vital member of a team which supports adults with learning difficulties.

Jane Gray, chief executive of ARK Housing Association, described him as "a well liked, respected and committed member of the team" in the organisation's Buckie office.

She added: "He was considered a vital member of that service and had just recently been promoted to a more senior position.

"We all considered that he had a great future with the organisation. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues and our thoughts are with his family."
