Fire action threat over sacking
Firefighters in north east Scotland are threatening industrial action over the sacking of one of their colleagues.
BBC Scotland has learned that the man was dismissed after 22 years of service apparently because management said he was incapable of carrying out duties.
The Fire Brigades Union said he should have been transferred to another post. A mass meeting will be held later this month to discuss possible action.
Grampian Fire and Rescue Service said the man was given help and support.
