Pupil hurt in school bus accident

A 14-year-old schoolboy was taken to hospital, and three other pupils were treated at the scene, after an accident involving a school bus near Kemnay.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the accident on the B993 Kemnay to Monymusk road, Aberdeenshire, shortly before 1700 BST on Wednesday.

The 16-seater bus was taking the pupils home from Alford Academy.

It is understood a large branch from a roadside tree had smashed through the bus windows.
